Sheep

We raise two breeds of sheep, polypays, a very maternal wool sheep, and katahdins, a fast growing hair sheep. Our girls are raised on pasture for most of the year and moved into the barn for the winter. We use a rotational grazing system on the farm, moving sheep every other day to help promote soil health and prevent parasite exposure. This keeps our animals and our land healthy!

Chickens

We have a group of laying hens that provide us with a supply of fresh eggs year-round. We raise our birds in the barn in the winter, then on pasture in mobile coups called Chicken tractors in the summer. These chicken tractors are moved daily and provide our animals with shade, access to fresh pasture, and safety from predators.
