U-Pick Flowers

Hello and welcome to J. D. Steele Farm - U-Pick Flowers!

U-Pick is closed for 2025, but we expect to open in Late April, 2026 for u-pick tulips and daffodils!

When u-pick flowers open for the 2026 season the stand will be open dawn to dusk. Prices start at $16 per bouquet. Pick from a variety of flowers in our front garden at our farm located at 1308 W. Henrietta Road, Avon, NY. We provide the scissors and the vase. No pets please. Children need to be supervised with the scissors. We welcome large parties or big groups. We hope to see you soon!

U-Pick Flowers FAQs

What is the best time to pick flowers?

Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to pick flowers.

At what stage should the flowers be picked?

Flowers should be picked when they are in the bud stage before they are pollinated by the bees. This allows for a longer vase life.

Can we pick any of the flowers?

Yes! We have many varieties to choose from. Fill your vase and enjoy!

Can we bring our own containers?

Since our U-Pick flowers are new to the farm we are asking that you only use the vase we provide for picking at this time.

Do we need to pre-purchase tickets for u-pick?

No, you do not need to pre-purchase tickets for u-pick.

U-Pick flower purchases are available for those that want to purchase a pass(es) as a gift.

Can we take pictures?

Yes, feel free to take pictures. We only ask that you purchase a

u-pick cup/bucket. It would be great if you tag the farm on social media posts too!
